COMBI GRIP Type Series

NORMACONNECT® COMBI GRIP design features:

1. Standard steel band insert

Thanks to the reinforcing steel band insert the coupling can be used to compensate large pipe gaps and is suitable for vacuum applications. In addition, the shear strength of the coupling is increased.

2. Lock bars

For the NORMACONNECT® pipe couplings bars with extra large diameter are used. This considerably improves the rigidity of the coupling as well as the engagement of the bolt threads.

3. Anchoring ringFor the plastic pipe to be connected the anchoring ring features flat multi-row ‘teeth’ that are pressed into the pipe surface. The force applied is evenly distributed over a wide area without damaging the pipe as such. For the metal pipe to be connected the anchoring ring features conically cut teeth that safely lock into the pipe surface. Due to this special design the pipe coupling is able to withstand high vibration loads.

4. New double lip seal

The patented sealing system provides double safety.

5. Optional support sleeve

For the joining of plastic pipes we always recommend to use the NORMACONNECT® support sleeve. In case of soft thermoplastic pipes (e. g. PE) the use of the reinforcing support sleeve is mandatory. The support sleeve is inserted into the pipe end and protects the joint from being deformed.
