Product Function
The profile clamp works on the principle of the inclined plane:
when the closure is tightened, a circumferential force F1 is exertedon the profile segments. By means of the profile, the two flangeparts are pressed together (see drawing opposite). The exertedcircumferential force is converted into a considerably higher axialforce F on the profile segments.
