NORMACONNECT® pipe couplings
The NORMACONNECT® pipe couplings provide an economic alternative to conventional pipe joining techniques for plastic and metal pipes. Plain-end pipes are joined in no time.
The ready-to-fit coupling is pushed over the pipe ends, aligned and rotated to any radial fitting position. Then the two bolts are tightened alternately by means of a torque wrench. That's all it takes for a safe fitting. The sealing effect is also ensured in the case of a slight misalignment or angular deviation.
Even gaps between the pipe ends of up to 35 mm can be compensated (cf. tables). Pressure surges, vibration and the related noise are absorbed substantially. The NORMACONNECT® pipe connections are lightweight and compact, they are easy to assemble also in narrow spaces.

The NORMACONNECT® range offers reliable weld-free connections for thick- and thin-walled pipes and conforms to the new standard DIN 86128. Feed and return lines for liquids, gas and solids (for industrial application, shipbuilding, plant construction, building, civil engineering, waste water plants etc.) are joined quickly, easily and safely with NORMACONNECT® pipe connections.
Double-lip sealing system
The patented double lip seal (Fig. A) of the NORMACONNECT® pipe connection offers double safety; it provides maximum tightness at both low and high operating pressures.
When the bolts are tightened sealing lip 1 is pressed on sealing lip 2 in such a way that also at low system pressures (gas) at vacuum or at high loads acting on the joint an excellent sealing effect is achieved (Fig. B).
Due to the special design of the sealing lips the sealing effect is even stronger when the internal pressure rises. With the increasing system pressure (P) the sealing lips are pressed more firmly onto the pipe surface (Fig. C).
