GSM® materials
A low compression set is of great importance in the use of elastomers as seals. In addition to the design specification this is the desisive factor in the performance and durability of a seal. Hecker employs a range of different materials which have outstanding performance characteristics with regard to permanent deformation even under extreme conditions. For example, we have a special FPM material which demonstrates an outstanding resistance to compression set in comparison with standard FPM materials even when tested for long periods at temperatures up to 250°C. This means that the material offers greater reserves of perfomance to the user in comparison with standard materials. Hecker, well-known as a producer of seals, can also supply compounds in the form of bands, sheets, continuous strips or moulded blanks. These compounds, which we have developed ourselves, have many different applications. We also have the necessary releases for a whole range of compunds, e.g. in accordance with DVGW, KTW, FDA, or BAM. We can also produce compounds to costumers' own specifications.
